Hatha – Beginner 

Suitable for beginners and experienced yogis seeking to deepen their understanding of their practice. These classes will provide you with everything you need to comfortably jump into our Hatha classes safely and confidently. We will demystify yoga terms and traditions and help you understand the benefits and possibilities of your practice. You will learn foundations of breath, form and alignment to get you moving. Everyone’s body is different, so we will also provide you with options to modify all of the yoga postures to make them truly yours. You’ll soon learn that yoga isn’t just about being bendy

Power Flow – Beginner

This class is perfect for those new to yoga or experienced yogis who would like to deepen their understanding of the Power Flow (and Warm Flow) poses and practice. The class is energetic and flowing, but moves a bit slower offering more instruction, modifications and break down of poses. You will learn the essential movements of flow (aka vinyasa) and how they link to your breath, creating heat in your body, strength and flexibility in your muscles and calmness in your mind. After a few classes, you will feel comfortable jumping into the all levels Power Flow and Warm Flow equipped with the tools to adapt your practice

Candlelit Yin

Lit by candlelight and the perfect way to wrap up your weekend and head into the coming week, our yin class invites stillness of mind and body with gentle poses that target the body’s connective tissues. Yin helps to soothe and relax the nervous system, increase flexibility in the low back, hips, pelvis, spine and shoulders, and target the energetic systems of the body, bringing the body into balance and increasing its natural range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down and are held in stillness for 3-5 minutes. Yin Yoga is the perfect complement to the more active “yang” lifestyles we lead. This practice will help you cultivate calm and stillness of mind and body, and leave you feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.

Deep Flow

This class is a slower paced flow that targets your deep connective tissues (i.e. tendons and ligaments) by sustaining postures for longer durations. Your larger joints such as hips and pelvis and the lower regions of your spine are specifically targeted. This class provides a perfect complement to balance the energy of the Power Flow and Hatha classes and will increase your flexibility taking your practice to a whole new level! Don’t let the slow pace fool you, this class is challenging but will calm your mind and bring you great relaxation.

Family Yoga

Suitable for kids age 5+ and their parents/grandparents/caregivers.  All levels of experience welcome.  This class is mainly geared towards the kids adding playful partnering, exploration of yoga poses, and fun games.  The class promotes inner connection and awareness giving kids (and caregivers) tools to relax and facilitates bonding with family members.  Come with an open mind and heart and have fun with the whole family!

Flow and Fly

This class combines flow (vinyasa) practiced on your mat and aerial yoga poses practiced in the silks. 
Its great if you’ve never tried aerial and want to experience a few poses before committing to a 4 week series or workshop.  Its also great if you love aerial yoga and want to keep up your practice.

We are limited to 9 silks, so please arrive early to secure your spot!

Hatha Yoga

Suitable for all yogis and those looking for a gentler practice. This class is oriented towards slower movement and building poses from the ground up. Focus is on form, alignment, breath and meditation. This class will guide you to balance your mind, body and spirit. If you are new to Hatha we recommend taking Yoga Fundamentals to learn all of the tips and tools you will need to have a fun and safe yoga practice!

Karma Yoga

Invite good vibes. Classes are a $5 donation or free for youth ages 9-17 (9-11 with a guardian). This class is led by newly qualified teachers and/or volunteer teachers and could be a mix of any of our class offerings or something brand new and hot of the press (see list below)

Proceeds are donated quarterly to a local charity.  The current charity is N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre.

Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation

This yoga class is about freedom, fearlessness, tranquility and peace! The practice will bring fourth renewed strength, creativity, flexibility and clarity. Introducing different postures, breathing, concentration and integration you will be lead on a journey of creativity and healing.

Mindfulness meditation is an integral part of your yoga practice. The meditation will bring stillness of mind and cultivate deeper focus. For those students new to meditation, this class will enhance your concentration and will help you liberate your mind from distracting and disturbing thoughts, emotions, and desires. For already practicing meditation students you will experience a stimulating and supportive environment to enhance your practice and growth.

Power Flow (and Power Flow Express)

This yoga class is energetic and flowing. It moves through a series of standing postures, floor postures and ends with an integrative savasana. This class is designed to strengthen and lengthen your muscles and get you out of your head and into your body. If you’d like to learn the Power Flow movements at a slower pace, we recommend taking Power Flow Level 1 to learn all of the modifications that are available to make this class your OWN practice. If you want to dial up your practice, we recommend trying Power Flow Level 2/3.

Power Flow Level 2

This high energy class is perfect for experienced yogis looking to invite a little more challenge into their practice. Emphasis will be on the instruction of intermediate and advanced postures that can be added to your Power Flow or flow (vinyasa) practice. Arm balances, inversions and deepening binds or variations of the basic Power Flow sequences are examples of what will be explored in this class. Get ready to play, fall and have fun!

Power Restore

If you think laying in Savasana after wringing yourself out is amazing, then this class is for you! It combines Power Flow with Restorative Yoga. The Power Flow allows you to shed your restlessness and baggage from the day and prepares you for the deep relaxation of restorative yoga. Restorative poses are generally physically passive, fully supported (props) and held for several minutes. Get ready to savour the simplicity of life

Restorative

This class offers a very gentle style of yoga where the poses are generally physically passive, fully supported with props and held for several minutes. A typical class might involve only 5-10 poses. The practice is designed to calm your nervous system, relax your muscles and restore your mind-body connection and sense of well-being. By practicing this powerful art of stillness you work to achieve total physical, mental and emotional relaxation

Flow

This is a series of poses that will move with your inhales and exhales. Your breath acts as an anchor for your movement and allows you to flow from breath to breath as you move through Sun Salutations, an invigorating standing sequence and floor poses, wrapping up with an integrative Savasana. This class is a little gentler and less heated than Power Flow and a faster-paced, more flowy offering than Hatha. Perfect for those looking to explore vinyasa for the first time, or those looking to dial back the heat but still get a great, flowing practice.
